Gunfire in broad daylight left one man dead in northwest Oklahoma City.
The incident happened at a home near NW 30th Street and May Avenue.
Police said the 911 call came in just after 11 a.m. Thursday.
"An adult male had been shot is what the caller told us," said Oklahoma City police Master Sgt. Gary Knight. "It was one of the other people who were inside the residence that witnessed it. There were other people in the residence, and they too are being interviewed."
That call came from inside a home on the 3000 block of Cashion Place. Investigators said a woman in a relationship with the victim pulled the trigger.
The man died inside the home.
At least two children were also inside the home at the time of the deadly shooting, police at the scene said.
"The female stayed at the scene. She was taken into custody and is currently being interviewed by homicide detectives," Knight said.
Police did not disclose the ages of the children.
One neighbor said her brother works with the victim. Her brother called the man around 10 a.m. Thursday to drive in to work together, but those calls went unanswered.
Police have not released the name of the victim or suspect.
Investigators ask for anyone with information to call the department's homicide tip line at 405-297-1200.
