Metro Couple Accused Of Child Neglect Arrested

A metro couple is in custody after officers found their four children neglected.

Court filings reveal officers found the home of Kimberly and Patrick Shepard covered in human and animal waste, as well as drug paraphernalia left within children's reach.

The children told officers they had not been in school for several months, the youngest unable to write or spell her name.

The couple faces charges of child neglect.
