A man is found dead inside an apartment complex in northwest Oklahoma City. This, just the latest in a string of homicides across the metro this week.
Police say just before 8 this morning they responded to a shooting call at the 7/11 near NW 23rd and MacArthur. They were told a woman who was bleeding from her head went there for help.
She told officers she came from an apartment complex just down the street, and that someone else had also been shot.
"Upon arrival at the apartment in the complex, officers did observe a male victim who was suffering with injuries consistent with a homicide," said Sgt. Amanda Heppler, with Oklahoma City Police.
The woman was transported to a local hospital and is expected to be okay. Police are unsure what exactly led up to the incident and how many people are involved.
"Our investigation is still ongoing," said Heppler. "We currently have no suspect description."
One neighbor tells News On 6 she's seen crime in this area before.
This is just one of many homicides the city's seen in the last few days. There have been seven homicides throughout OKC since last Saturday. One of those including a double fatality shooting.
Today marks the 58th homicide of the year. Police expect to have more information on the investigation sometime Monday.
The names of the two victims have not been released. If you have any information on this case, you're asked to call the police at 405-235-7300.
