Emergency Crews Close Section Of Will Rogers Turnpike After Crash Involving Multiple Semi-Trucks

One lane of the Will Rogers Turnpike in Mayes County is closed after an early morning crash involving 2 semi-trucks.

Emergency crews closed one westbound lane of the Will Rogers Turnpike in Mayes County on Monday morning after a crash involving multiple semi-trucks.

The crash occurred between the Claremore and Big Cabin Exits near Mile Marker 274.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers, the first semi collided with a brush hogger that was mowing in the area and drove onto the road. Troopers said that another semi then crashed into the back of the first truck,

Crews initially blocked both westbound lanes, but have since been able to get the inside lane back open.

Troopers say that the individuals involved suffered only minor injuries.
