Police Identify Man Killed In SW OKC Shooting

Police identified one person who was fatally shot Friday in southwest Oklahoma City.

The shooting happened shortly after 11:55 p.m. Friday in the 6200 block of S Douglas Avenue near Western Avenue and SW 59th Street.

When officers arrived, they found three people had been shot. Two people were taken to a local hospital and one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators think the three victims were at an outdoor gathering when someone began firing into the crowd.

Larry McDowell, 28, was identified as the man who was fatally shot. The two other victims, who were not identified, were treated and released.

So far, no arrests have been made.
