OKLAHOMA CITY -

Summer break is back, and Oklahoma City Public Schools is picking back up their summer meal service.

This meal service is free for anyone under the age of 18.

Crystal Raymond with Oklahoma City Public Schools said OKCPS just wants to make sure every student who needs a meal has something to eat.

"We've had people who pick up for their neighbors and they might ask for nine meals for two of three different families and that is perfectly fine," she said.

Meals are being served at a number of OKCPS campuses starting Monday through July 23. Parents and students can pick up meals Monday through Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Meals will be provided at no cost under the USDA Summer Food Service Program and there is no need to sign up.

OKCPS has now opened enrollment for next year.

If you are a parent, now is a good time to get all the forms and documentations ready to go so that you don't have to worry about it later.

For the first time ever, you can complete the process 100% online.

If you need help, Raymond said there will be events this summer where an expert can help.

"Returning students should have kept their device from the previous year so they can bring that device to the pod site and have an expert help them," Raymond said.

If you don't have a device or don't want to bring it, the district said they will have some devices on site as well.

The district is planning on offering in-person learning five days a week.

OKCPS is also offering an online option called E3. Students who enroll in this option will have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities in-person.
