Edmond Public Schools announced that it will start offering free meals to all children 18 years old and under starting Monday.
The district plans to offer breakfast and lunch meals lasting through July 30. Children who are not Edmond public school students can also receive the meals.
The meals will not be offered July 5 in observance of Independence Day.
Meals will be offered at five schools districtwide: Cimarron Middle School, Heartland Middle School, Ida Freeman Elementary School, Summit Middle School and Sunset Elementary.
The meals can only be picked inside the schools' cafeterias. There is no drive-thru option available.
