Man In Custody After Hostage Situation In Chickasha

A standoff with an armed man and the Chickasha Police Department has ended after the man turned himself into custody.

The man turned himself in shortly before 3:45 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities said the armed man had at least one hostage inside a home near the intersection of South 19th Street & West Texas Avenue in Chickasha.

Police said the situation has been going on since about 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

The son of the armed man told News 9 that the hostage was not injured. The hostage was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.
