One man is facing a second-degree murder complaint in connection with the shooting death of an Oklahoma City man.

Another person was also shot Sunday morning at a home near NW 29th and May Avenue.

Police said they were called to the home just before 5 a.m. Sunday. Investigators said Zachariah Perry was fighting with the woman inside a home when she decided to leave. That's when several other people showed up to help her get away.

Detectives said a resident of the home began arguing with the group and shot at them.  Police said a person in that group, Rodrick Liggens, shot back toward the home.

"It's believed that Rodrick struck both the male resident and the victim, Zachariah," said Oklahoma City police Sgt. Megan Morgan. "What led to that exchange of gunfire right now is under investigation."

Perry was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man, who has not been identified, was shot in the leg and is expected to recover. No one else was hurt during the shooting.

Officers said Liggens was arrested at the scene and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of second-degree murder.

Police said even though there's been an arrest, the investigation is still ongoing.
