Kimchi Fried Rice

  1. 1 cup kimchi
  2. 1 cup Spam, cubed
  3. 3 slices bacon, cubed
  4. 1 cup mushrooms, chopped
  5. 3 cups steamed white rice, cold 
  6. 1 egg
  7. 2 loved garlic
  8. 1/4 cup kimchi juice this liquid is from the bottom of the kimchi container
  9. 2 teaspoon sesame oil
  10. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  11. 1/2 onion, diced


  1. In a large skillet, saute the Spam, bacon, onion and garlic till meat is browned.
  2. While that is cooking pour the kimchi juice into the rice to soak up the flavors in a medium sized bowl.
  3. Once the meat is browned, stir in the mushrooms, rice sesame oil and kimchi.
  4. Make a hole in the middle of the skillet, and stir in the egg till it is scrambled.
  5. Now, toss everything together and allow the rice to brown on the bottom.
  6. Let it cook for five minutes and then turn over and brown the other side of the rice.
  7. Serve warm!
