Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt tells News 9 the city skyline could go dark Tuesday in order to help conserve energy.

The decision comes as electric companies are working to prevent rolling blackouts across the state.

OG&E announced Monday afternoon customers would experience rolling blackouts due to the Southwest Power Pool entering energy emergency level 3. The decision was put on hold a few hours later after SPP said enough energy had been restored to return to emergency level 2.
