Thursday afternoon Oklahoma City drivers will be able to use the new ramp from eastbound Interstate 44 to go northbound on Interstate 235.
This ramp will take you up and over part of the interstate when you drive east on I-44.
During construction, drivers have had to make some quick decisions with merging, but ODOT says this more than $100 million project will make it safer for drivers by splitting traffic that would usually compete for the same lanes.
But more closures are on the way.
"The 63rd off-ramp will be a 45-day closure, and that will allow the contract and ODOT to get the rest of the retaining wall finished and continue the paving," said Jeff Garder, the project manager.
While they work on the 63rd Street off-ramp, they will have drivers take alternative routes.
The second phase will give drivers on Lincoln better access when driving on the Broadway extension towards Edmond.
They expect to have this two-year update completed by the end of the year.
