Two people were arrested after Monday afternoon's lengthy chase spanned through the Oklahoma City area.

Police identified the driver as 26-year-old Nathan Faustino Herrera and the passenger as 25-year-old Hailey Nicole Moreno.

Officers tried to pull over a black Chevrolet Avalanche for speeding on Interstate 235 near NE 23rd Street.

The chase lasted nearly 30 minutes on city streets and highways, and speeds went as high as 100 mph.

Police said the driver and female passenger got out of the vehicle and tried to hid in a neighborhood near Meridian and NW 13th Street.

Officers found the two in a detached garage. One incident report said they were found hiding underneath a wooden bed frame.

Both Moreno and Herrera had warrants issued against them. Moreno was identified as Herrera's girlfriend.

Both were booked into the Oklahoma County jail.
