News 9’s Amazing Oklahoman is Selena Fesler a mail carrier in Shawnee.

Her nominator told us their family was stuck in the hospital the night of the ice storm when they got a call from their neighbor.

They learned a small fire had started in their home and that Selena saw the smoke and called the fire department.

Thanks to her quick thinking, their home was saved -- as was their young puppy who was stuck inside.
