One amazing Oklahoman is committed to helping others out of hard times.
Layla Freeman’s daughter died from an overdose, and since then, Layla has made it her life’s mission to help other addicts and their families.
She created a nonprofit called “Light of Hope” in Claremore and she gives drug education classes in local schools.
Just earlier this week, she received an international award from the DEA for her work.
