An El Reno man was arrested after police said he was busted with hundreds, maybe thousands of images of child pornography.
37-year-old Jeremy Weimer didn’t have anything to say as he was released on bond Wednesday. But investigators said the evidence they found on his computer speaks volumes.
“When we conducted our forensic examination, we found photos ranging from back in 2007. The collection he had was scattered all over the place. On his cell phone, computer, flash drives,” said Captain Adam Flowers with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office. “What really bothered us was the age ranges that we saw. All the way from one-year-old to ten years old engaged in hardcore sexual abuse.”
Investigators were tipped off to Weimer a couple of years ago after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children discovered child porn on his email.
“Some of the information came from emails and emails are protected and need a search.” Flowers said.
Investigators couldn’t get a warrant until they said Weimer recently posted child porn to the cloud, so the raided his house.
They said they found hundreds of images on his computer and external drives and expect to find more that have been encrypted or deleted. They’re not sure whether any of the pictures are of local children.
“We are still looking at that. Some of the child pornography that we recovered is commonly traded child pornography that we’ve seen before. Some of it we haven’t,” said Flowers. “This predator created a market out there for other predators to abuse children, photograph it, video it, traffic them, and share it out there so it can fulfill the sick fantasies of other predators.”
If convicted Weimer could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
