The hottest temperatures Oklahoma has seen this summer season are on the way this week.

Soaring Temperatures

Monday and Tuesday will be the coolest for a while.

Monday look for highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. Heat index values will climb into the mid and upper 90s.

Afternoon Highs

There will be a light east winds through the day and chance for isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. The best chances for storms will be in south central Oklahoma. A few storms Monday could be severe with quarter size hail and 60 mph winds possible. Localized flooding will be possible as well.

Storm Zones

As we head through the workweek the humidity will drop, and this will allow the air temperature to soar.

Highs could reach 104 by Sunday.
