1 Person Dead, 1 Officer Hit After Long Standoff In OKC

A standoff that started on Friday afternoon ended overnight with a tragic discovery.

OKC Police say 64-year-old Robert Churillio was taken into custody overnight. Officers say they found one person dead inside the home. OKC Police say they had heard someone may have been shot around 3 p.m. when the suspect 64-year-old Robert ChurilliAo barricaded himself and another person inside the home near Northwest 11th and Portland.

During the hours-long negotiations Churillo fired several rounds and hit one officer who is expected to be okay. The identity of the person found dead inside the home has not been released.
