Hours-Long Standoff In NW OKC Ongoing As Officers Attempt To Make Contact With Subject

A large presence of police are in the area of Northwest 11th Street and Portland Avenue as authorities respond to a reported shots fired call Friday.

As of 10 p.m. police said the eight hour standoff is ongoing as they attempt to make contact with a subject inside the residence. They believe two people are inside of the home.

Children in the neighborhood told News 9's Bonnie Campo they heard the gunshots.

Officers have not released further information at this time.
