Saucee Sicilian To Be Featured On Diners, Drive-Ins And Dives

A local restaurant and food truck will be featured on the hit show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives Friday.

Saucee Sicilian welcomed Guy Fieri to their shop in December of 2019. The Episode's air date was rescheduled several times because of COVID-19.

The owners said Fieri scouted them for their special dishes and were able to give the Mayor of Favortown a lesson on making Nonna's famous Sauce and Balls.

"He did say this and I hope it's on there. But when he had out meatballs, he looked over and said 'this is the best meatball I've ever had. Not Joking. The best I've ever had'," said Gannon Mendez, co-owner of the local restaurant and food truck.

The owners are working on getting their store front back after it was destroyed in recent protests.

Fieri said he will be back to grab a bite when their store front opens in four months.

The episode will air on the food network at 8 p.m.
