A Black Lives Matter unity rally is planned for Tuesday afternoon in Sand Springs, and organizers said they're expecting hundreds of people to show up.

This rally is being hosted by Imani Jennings and Travis Allen, both of whom graduated from Charles Page High School in the last couple of years.

They said they’ve been working with city leaders and the police department to coordinate what this rally will look like.

Several speakers are scheduled to attend, and it’ll end with a candlelight vigil to honor the victims of police brutality.

Jennings said they’ve received mostly positive feedback from the community.

“This isn’t black versus white. This is everyone against racism and police brutality; so, I think it’s really important for everyone’s voices to be heard” said Jennings.

The rally will start at 5:00 p.m. near the stage at Case Community Park.
