Troopers Identify Man Killed In Wrong Way Crash On I-35 In Moore

One person died in a wrong way, head-on crash in Moore, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said.

The crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 35 near 19th Street.

Jorge Pina, 37, of Bloomington, California, died at the scene of the crash, troopers said.

A vehicle was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 when it hit one vehicle and then a second vehicle.

The driver of the southbound vehicle was identified as Pina. Troopers said he had an odor of alcohol.

The driver of the northbound vehicle hit by the southbound vehicle first was pinned in her vehicle for almost 40 minutes. She was taken to OU Medical Center and is in critical condition.

The two occupants of the third vehicle were taken to Norman Regional Hospital and were in fair and good conditions.

All of the occupants of all of the vehicles wore their seat belts.
