OG&E System Watch is reporting thousands of power outages in the Oklahoma City metro Thursday.
As of 1 p.m. Thursday. more than 7,000 customers remained without power statewide.
Over 12,000 outages had been reported in OKC, 2,000 reported in Moore and nearly 2,500 reported in Choctaw earlier Thursday.
The power outages came during a high wind advisory from the national weather service that was in effect until 7 a.m. The high winds caused many power lines to go down across OKC.
