Oklahoma Realtors Step Up To Help Feed Neighbors

Oklahoma Realtors announced a large donation Wednesday to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of Realtors (OKCMAR) and MLSOK Inc. each announced a $20,000 donation toward the Oklahoma Together: Feeding Hope Match campaign.

“OKCMAR is committed to showing our love and support to people in need during this stressful and serious time,” said JT Brown, OKCMAR president. “We challenge other statewide associations, presidents, boards of directors and their members to step up and meet or beat our donation to help feed hungry Oklahomans.”

Deb Bunting, interim CEO of the Regional Food Bank, said financial support from organizations such as OKCMAR is especially vital during times of crisis.

“The Regional Food Bank is so grateful for the generous support from our friends at OKCMAR and MLSOK,” said Bunting. “Their donations will help us provide nutritious food, and they spread a message of compassion for the growing number of fellow Oklahomans who need food assistance.”

More and more Oklahomans continue to need food assistance as a result of the economic impact from the COVID-19 pandemic and the slumping energy industry. Thanks to the Inasmuch Foundation and several anonymous donors, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is partnering with News 9 for the Oklahoma Together: Feeding Hope Match.
