After a 41 day break Professional Bull Riding is back and using an Oklahoma arena to ensure the cowboys and production crews stay safe.

The PBR has turned to the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie to get back bulls bucking again. The Oklahoma venue hosted the "PBR Las Vegas Invitational" over the weekend.

There were no fans in the stands and the production crews wore makes and gloves. The cowboys didn't wear masks while riding, but they did have them on during opening ceremonies.

PBR CEO Sean Gleason says they came up with a 29-page safety plan. Crews were split into working groups of about six, they're staying on the property in RVs, not leaving the ranch and practicing physical distancing.

The Lazy E is home to the largest arena in the U-S dedicated to western sports. Gleason says they have about 2 acres per person to spread out.

"We've had plenty of space and responsible and we get our PBR family back to work and hopefully our process will pave the way for other sports,” said Gleason in a video posted to Facebook.

37-year-old Fabiano Vieira won on championship Sunday.

The PBR will hold two more events at the Lazy E in May. Both of those are closed to the public but will air on CBS Sports.
