TULSA, OK -- The City of Tulsa has spent a total of $770,835.33 this winter treating streets for snow and ice accumulation, according to City spokesperson Kim MacLeod. This includes materials and overtime hours.

During five storm events covering 19 days through Feb. 3, Public Works personnel applied 8,738.25 tons of salt and 35.5 tons of salt and sand mixture to arterial streets. Crews plowed 39,240 arterial lane miles.

After these storm events, the City of Tulsa has 4,000 tons of salt remaining, 1,200 tons of salt and sand mixture, and 3,700 tons of sand, MacLeod said.
