A string of break-ins in the town of Blanchard, Okla. may be more wide spread than first thought.
New surveillance video shows a possible connection between thieves in Oklahoma City and now Blanchard. Thieves hit a total of six homes in a Blanchard during the early morning hours of March 1, but the detective on the case thinks they may be responsible for a number of other crimes in this area.
On News 9's Monday 6 p.m. newscast, Jarrad Garner shared surveillance video of someone ransacking his SUV near SW 119th and Rockwell. He contacted News 9 in hopes someone would recognize either the person or the black pickup truck in the video.
As it turns out someone did: Blanchard Detective Joel Hendrix.
"The truck is definitely what stands out," said Hendrix.
Hendrix was working the case in Blanchard where the suspects went door-to-door stealing what they could from cars. Sometimes, like in the case of the Kidny family, even breaking out windows.

"I come out to start the car and I just noticed they busted the passenger side front window out," said Angie Kidny.
Thieves didn't get much, but Kidny says they stole a purse from her neighbor. Surveillance video would later catch a woman using stolen credit cards from that purse at the Wal-Mart in Newcastle and the Wal-Mart in Moore. And outside was a black pickup truck.
Hendrix is convinced the woman and the man she is working with have been doing this a lot.
"Within the area outside of our jurisdiction there may be several here lately that's happened that could be related to the same group," said Hendrix.
So he's putting out the surveillance video, for the same reason Garner did.
"Getting them caught will put a stop to it," Hendrix said. "I'm hoping that by releasing their pictures and video descriptions that will put them in fear as well."
If you recognize the woman or the pickup truck, call police immediately.
