Former Oklahoma City Thunder guard Kevin Ollie is on top of the college basketball world.

Ollie, a member of the Thunder from 2009-10, coached his alma mater UConn Huskies to the 2014 NCAA National title on Monday night, as Connecticut held off Kentucky 60-54 in AT&T Stadium.

Ollie retired after his season in Oklahoma City, taking an assistant coaching position at UConn under Jim Calhoun. When Calhoun retired in 2012, Ollie took the reins of the program and guided them through NCAA sanctions last season to rally to this season's title as a No. 7 seed.

Ollie played in 25 games with the Thunder, averaging 1.8 points, one rebound and 0.8 assists per outing.

There are three other former Huskies on the current Thunder roster with Jeremy Lamb, Hasheem Thabeet and Caron Butler.
