Police Arrest Stabbing Suspect After 5-Hour Standoff In NE OKC

One woman is in custody after stabbing two people and leading police on a five-hour standoff in northeast Oklahoma City, Sunday afternoon.

One woman is in custody after stabbing two people and leading police on a five-hour standoff in northeast Oklahoma City, Sunday afternoon.

Oklahoma City Police and SWAT team members were staged outside of an apartment near Santa Fe Ave. and NE 36th St. for several hours. Officers shut down NE 36th St. from Santa Fe Ave. and Lincoln Blvd. while they waited for the suspect to emerge from the apartment.

Police first got the call regarding the incident around 1:45 p.m. The caller told officers that they saw a female victim with a severe stab wound staggering in the middle of the street. Police also say there was a male stabbing victim that fled the scene.

So far police have not identified the suspect or the victims. The condition of the female victim is not known at this time.

Police are still investigating what led up to the stabbing.
