SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- The Coast Guard is working to remove a stranded fishing vessel wedged under a major San Francisco Bay area bridge by strong wind. The 70-foot boat became stuck under the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge Tuesday evening when unusually powerful gusts of wind whipped through the region. The wind caused a big rig to overturn during the evening rush hour, halting traffic in one direction and causing massive delays. But authorities reopened two of the three lanes that had been closed Friday morning. Strong gusts also knocked out power to about 25,000 customers. But crews had restored power to all but 2,200 by Wednesday.
