High winds snapped power poles, toppled fences and even blew out car windows.

Employees at a local convenience store spent the day tossing perishable food the storm knocked out power to their coolers and freezers.

News 9 talked to several people in Piedmont who said they are simply tired. Tired of the anxiety, clean-up and mother nature's brutality. While there were no injuries the emotional toll of Monday's storm is devastating. The town is still recovering from the deadly May tornadoes.

"It blew out front glass something hit it and it busted it out. Concrete building is gone but the metal building withstood it all with no damage," Jim Harkins said.

OG&E estimates more than one thousand residents are without power.
