NORMAN, Oklahoma – A single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Norman has claimed the life of a Moore, Oklahoma man, Norman Police Department reported Monday.
According to the accident report, this happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 21. Forty-eight-year-old Jeffery Hoogendoorn was driving a 2008 Honda CBR 1000 at a high rate of speed, southbound on 108 Avenue S.E. , south of Alameda Drive when he missed a curve, run off the roadway and into a nearby wooded area.
According to the police, Hoogendoorn was taken to the Norman Regional Hospital where he died of severe injuries sustained in the crash.
Police say Hoogendoorn was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The crash is still under investigation by the Norman Police Department.
