Police are looking for a man who allegedly stole a computer system from an Edmond Walmart last week.

A security guard at the Walmart at 1225 W. I-35 Frontage Road told Edmond police his suspicions were raised when he saw a man pushing a cart containing a computer system without a "spider wire" security device throughout the store last Friday.

He said he watched the man go through an unattended checkout lane and flash a white paper at the door greeter who was turned away from the suspect at the time.

He then reviewed security video to see if the computer had been paid for in the electronics department and it had not.

The video and surveillance pictures were turned over to police.

The man was described as a white male wearing dark shoes, dark shirt and dark pants. He was observed entering a black sedan, possibly a Honda, in the parking lot.

The security guard told police inventory records show the store was missing two computer systems worth about $500.
