Thieves Steal Tires, Rims From Vehicles In Southwest OKC Neighborhood

Some residents in a southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood are feeling snake bitten.

Since Saturday, at least three homeowners in the Brandywine subdivision have been victimized by auto thieves.

But they're not stealing vehicles, they are jacking them up and stealing the tires and rims.

It happened twice early Tuesday. Kristal Casey's husband's truck was stripped of its tires and wheels.

"It's insane. I can't believe they did that. I can't believe they did that. It's scary to think about really," she said.

Devin Jackson lives a block away. He says the thieves stole his tires and rims, even though he had special safety locks installed on his wheels.
