No. 1 Oklahoma moved to 14-0 on the season Friday night defeating UC Santa Barbara 5-2 and Nebraska 2-0 at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs, Calif.

In the first game, Lauren Chamberlain led off the first inning with a solo home run to give the Sooners a lead it wouldn't give up.

Michelle Gascoigne moved to 7-0 this season with the win. She struck out 11 batters in 4.2 innings, giving up two earned runs.

Brittany Williams went 3-for-3 with two RBIs to pace the OU offense.

In the second game, the Sooners needed some late inning heroics to pull off the victory against the Huskers.

Oklahoma was being no-hit through six innings by Nebraska starter Tatum Edwards. In the top of the seventh, Brianna Turang singled for the Sooners' first hit, and Lauren Chamberlain and Georgia Casey followed with walks to load the bases.

Jessica Shults stepped to the plate and drilled a single through the right side scoring Turang and Chamberlain. That was all OU would get in the inning, but that would be all the Sooners would need.

OU starter Keilani Ricketts retired the Huskers in order in the bottom of the inning to seal the win for OU. Ricketts struck out nine batters and gave up three hits.

OU finishes its time in California Saturday against No. 23 Florida State.
