Edmond city officials have announced Arcadia Lake will reopen Wednesday, June 19 at 6 a.m. after being closed for two weeks due to flooding.

All four public access parks at Arcadia Lake were closed June 3 because heavy rainfall caused flooding and runoff. The waters have now receded enough to reopen Central State Park, Edmond Park, Scissortail Campground and Spring Creek Park.

Officials say by Wednesday morning, lake levels will be near 1009 feet, three feet above normal water elevation. All lake users are still encouraged to be cautious because elevated water levels can be dangerous.

One low-water crossing in Central State Park will remain barricaded and closed until the water recedes further.
