Last month we told you about a group of Moore women who teamed up to give back to the teachers who lost their classrooms in the May 20th tornado. Restore Moore: Project Teacher is raising money to help more than 70 teachers rebuild their classrooms. One-hundred percent of the donations goes to Plaza Towers and Briarwood Elementary Teachers.

Several local businesses are getting behind the cause. Blazer Motors, Moore Auto Sales, Unique Motorsports, Affordable Pool Solutions and Triple G Drive-Away came together to match donations up to $5,000. D&D Truck Sales also gave $3,000. Tuesday evening, the six businesses gave a check to Restore Moore: Project Teacher for $8,000.

The women are thankful for the generosity of Oklahomans, but they still have a way to go to reach their goal.

Gift cards and monetary donations can be mailed to Restore Moore: Project Teacher PO Box 891385 Oklahoma City, OK 73189 or at www.bankofoklahoma.com under the Restore Moore: Project Teacher account number 309436715.
