Investigators with the Oklahoma City Police Department are searching for a brazen burglar.

A thief broke into the Crown Heights Baptist Church near NW 50th and Western on May 22nd on May 27th.

Surveillance cameras captured two incidents, in which the thief stole a $600 soundboard from the church.

"He's robbed God and the bible speaks pretty strongly about robbing God," said Pastor Joe Cannon.

Cannon and his congregation have faith whoever stole from the church will get caught.

"As soon as it happened we turned it over to the authorities and even before that, I turned it over to the higher authority," said Pastor Cannon.

Pastor Cannon has reason to believe the same suspect is also responsible for a fire in April that caused about $1.5 million dollars in damage.

He said fire investigators told him someone was in the building when the fire started. Both the fire and the burglaries occurred between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Now, the church is asking the suspect to come forward and give a confession in return for forgiveness.

"You haven't taken anything from Crown Heights Baptist Church," said Pastor Cannon. "You've taken from God."
