The Oklahoma Sooners are third in the 2014 Preseason Coaches Poll, released on Thursday.
Reigning champ Florida State took first with 56-of-62 first place votes. Alabama is second.
Bob Stoops returns almost the entire set of starters from a defense that led the Big 12 a year ago and quarterback Trevor Knight will look to build on the momentum of last season’s 348-yard, four-touchdown performance in the Sugar Bowl.
