Businesses Evacuated After Construction Crew Cuts Gas Line In SE OKC

Businesses on the southeast side of the metro had to be evacuated after a construction crew accidentally cut a gas line.

It happened along the S. I-35 service road, near SE 19th St. Authorities tell News 9 that a backhoe accidentally cut a high-pressure gas line during construction work in the area.

Businesses around the area had to be evacuated due to the leak. Officials are waiting for crews from ONG to arrive and cap the leak.
