The Office of the Medical Examiner reported the cause of death for a man shot and killed by police officers after a pursuit in NE Oklahoma City was a gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death was determined to be homicide, according to the Medical Examiner.
According to police, at about 8:30 p.m., officers attempted to pull over a vehicle in the area of NE 28th and Laird. However, the driver, later identified as 39-year-old Jerry Nowlin, refused to stop for officers.

As officers pursued on foot, police said Nowlin brandished a firearm and pointed it at the officers. The officers then discharged their weapons and shot Nowlin.
