Police cleared the scene of a double shooting Monday morning in Moore after an overnight investigation that began at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
A man was shot to death after he allegedly shot his wife in the head outside a home on SW 1 Street.
Authorities said Jason Morgan, 36, was intoxicated and went outside with a gun. He was planning to settle some sort of drama from earlier in the day that did not directly involved him. He was headed to a neighbor’s home.
Shawn Gagnon was outside at the time a few houses down and said he stepped in.
“I tried to grab the gun again. He wasn’t having it. He pointed it right at me, ‘Try it again and I will kill you.’ I was like whoa, whoa, whoa. I backed up and his wife came. ‘Just calm down, honey. I love you. Think of the kids. We’ll get through this together,’” Gagnon said.
But Jason Morgan wasn't having it and his wife, Tiffany, continued to try and calm him down.
“Told her if she doesn’t let go in three seconds he was going to shoot her. She didn’t think he would. So he just looked at her was like, ‘three, two,’ and he didn’t even say ‘one’ he just pulled the trigger. She fell. He just looked at her, walked away just like nothing ever happened,” Gagnon said.
And after Jason Morgan shot Tiffany Morgan in the head, he made it to the neighbor's, shot at the dead bolt on the door and kicked his way in.
And then, police said the neighbor, Justin Bozeman, 28, shot and killed Jason Morgan.
“That’s pretty scary. Luckily, that person was able to protect themselves and their family,” Moore police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said.
As for the other family involved, News 9 was told the couple had three kids.
They are now hoping their mom can pull through this.
Tiffany Morgan is in serious condition at OU Medical Center after having surgery Sunday night, a OU Medical Center spokesman said.
