OKC Elementary Students Raise Money For Victims Of OSU Homecoming Tragedy

Students and faculty at Oklahoma City’s Hawthorne Elementary School came together to help raise money for the victims of OSU’s Homecoming tragedy.

The event collected “sofa change” to the tune of approximately $1,000 dollars. It was designed to teach the students to be helpful and compassionate and also show how, when everyone helps out a little, the results can go a long way.  

The students will present a check of the proceeds to the Stillwater Medical Foundation at an assembly at the elementary school, Tuesday afternoon.
