You may not realize it, but you could be sleeping on a bed full of chemicals and some of those chemicals are worse than others.
Researchers say memory foam and innerspring mattresses can be made with some pretty harsh chemicals. We're talking anything from flame retardants to formaldehyde.
Consumer Reports say some people returned new mattresses because the chemical were overwhelming.
Some of effects of the chemicals can cause respiratory issues, disrupt hormones and even cancer, according to researchers.
Consumer Reports says we should air out a new mattress for two days before sleeping on it. This can cut down being exposed to those chemicals.
