Even though Dion Waiters is hurdling a life obstacle of his own after the apparent homicide of his younger brother last week in South Philadelphia, the Thunder guard has found a way to shine a positive light on others. On Thursday Waiters donated $10,000 dollars to the elementary school he attended while growing up.

"I'm excited to help turn the school around and give you guys an opportunity to enjoy life more," Waiters said in front of a group elementary students on Thursday.

As a show of support, the Thunder organization added $2,500 on top of the $10,000 donation Waiters made according to Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman
