Oklahoma City Police need your help identifying a person seen in surveillance video of an auto burglary near 9800 SW 27th Street.

“I feel very violated with the entire situation,” the victim said.

While his family was asleep in their home, a suspected burglar took his flashlight to the trucks parked in the driveway on June 9.

Security footage showed the man lost interest in the white truck and moved over to the red one next to it. And once he got inside, he stayed there awhile.

“The criminal sat in my pickup for five minutes with the doors open, which meant the lights were on and didn’t seem to care,” the victim said.

This is not the first time this has happened in the neighborhood, the victim told News 9.

This time, the police report stated the burglar took expensive sunglasses, binoculars, ammo, clips and a semi-automatic handgun.

“What will they do with it?” The victim asked. “Will a crime be committed with my gun? That is very alarming to me.”

The victim said his door lock had a defect and has since been fixed.

He just hopes someone will recognize the caper caught on his cameras and the overnight escapades come to an end.

“It’s just sad that people would rather do that than go out and earn an honest living,” he said.

If you recognize him, call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300 and you could get a reward.
