A man was arrested on an arson complaint after setting a couch on fire at an Oklahoma City home early Monday morning.

According to the fire department, just after 6 a.m. firefighters responded to check an extinguished fire at a home on S.E. 52nd Street. They reported seeing smoke in the house and burn marks on a couch.

Firefighters removed the smoke from the structure with positive pressure fans and called for investigators. Oklahoma City police also responded due to the domestic nature of the call.

Luis A. Jimenez-Rodriguez, 30, was arrested after authorities determined he had set the couch on fire. He reportedly ran away from the scene but was located by investigators.

Jimenez-Rodriguez was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a complaint of arson.
