According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP,) just after 12 p.m. troopers responded to the crash on State Highway 1, just west of US 259 Road, about three miles north and five miles east of Muse.
The motorcycle was reportedly westbound on SH 1 when it ran off the road to the left, striking a tree. The motorcyclist, later identified as 77-year-old Gilbert Cartledge of Oklahoma City, was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries.
