Former Sen. Ralph Shortey Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison

Former state Sen. Ralph Shortey was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The sentence included 10 years of supervised probation.

Shortey was pleaded guilty of child sex trafficking in federal court.

In March 2017, Shortey was found with a 17-year-old boy in a Moore motel room. 

Shortey resigned from his state senate seat a short time later.

Due his alleged online ads seeking sex with underage participants, the crime was considered federal.
