The Thunder defeated the Suns 118 to 102 in Phoenix, Friday night.
The Thunder played their first game of the season without Paul George, who was out with a quad contusion. Alex Abrines was also out with an illness.

Early on the game, Russell Westbrook stepped up with 15 points in the first quarter.
Abdel Nader also stepped up in George's absence, with a career-high of 13 points before halftime. He finished the game with 18 points.
Terrance Ferguson sat out during the second half of the game due to a stomach illness, the Thunder reported.
The Suns took the lead in the third quarter, but OKC responded with a 12-0 fourth quarter run. Westbrook capped it of with a three, creating a 14 point lead.
A good bookend game for Westrbook. 30 of his 40 points came in the first and fourth quarters.
